Competition analysis: Before & After
There are two approches, before and after the competition. Doing a performance analysis combines statistics (data analysis) and visual feedback (video analysis) to enhance performance and improve decision making.
Before: progam analysis
When skaters, choreographers and coaches start to prepare the next season with new programs. They almost start from a blank page. Then, start repeating and polishing details. I can analyze and provide data who help the skater to perform (Overall covered distance, average speed... etc) . These data can be used by coaches to design efficient and adapted trainings but also by the off-ice coach or/and by the mental trainer for example.
Before: competition simulation
Preparation for competition entails simulation creating competition conditions. Are you ready? Which points require improvement? etc...
Competition analysis / Performance
Then there is the post-competition analysis. After filming videos of competition programs, I can make an advanced analysis of the competition. For example, it is possible to tag all technical elements to do performance tracking over multiple programs. As professional coach, I will make suggestions and help establish new goals for the next competition. My main goal is to use high-level technology to help you achieve your skating / teaching goals.
